We don’t have an office. We are mostly volunteers. During tax season, we prepare taxes at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center.
We are one of the IRS Voluntary Tax Assistance (VITA) partners. That’s why we don’t charge.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. We need to have matching funds from grants or donors in order for the IRS to provide us with funding.
The IRS provides the tax preparation software program, volunteer training materials, and signage.
No, we do not have grants or corporate donations, at this time.
No, none of them provide us with financing.
The person who signs up for financial training pays for it. If we have donation money for training, we can charge the client less depending on their financial situation.
Depending on the item there is a fee. Translations usually have no cost. Completing a one- or two-page form is free. Explanation of documents is generally free. Filling out immigration documentation forms has a cost depending on the forms to complete.
